Viking Professional Oven Not Working. Like 190deg after cooling for over 15min. Im not sure as to why this occurred as the microwave section should not have been in use. DO NOT line the oven with aluminum foil or other materials. If you ever feel hesitant to work on an appliance call a Viking repair professional to help you out.
Viking Range LLC is a well-known brand of iconic gas stoves sturdy professional-grade appliances that can fit in any residential kitchen. Most of them require professional attention. Use of these cleaners can produce hazardous fumes or can damage the porcelain finishes. As conscientious humans we need better more efficent products not the other way around. But even the Viking appliances are not perfect. Shame on these manufactuers and I mean many not just Viking for changing a good thing for the worse.
I pulled the cover and found the HV magnatron transformer was quite hot.
Will usually light at first but once it reaches set temp and flame goes out it will frequently have trouble re-lighting by itself the igniter could be bad if having hard time to relite once lit should stay lit until set temp should relite automatically when needed. Viking oven will not unlock after self-clean. The small element at the back glows red but the metal screen does not seem to heat up and get hot. Unplug your appliance before you proceed with the repair. Check the socket for burns or corrosion as well. Its not recommended to do the oven repair by yourself as it can be dangerous.
