Onkyo receiver surround sound not working

Onkyo Receiver Surround Sound Not Working. My surround sound works fine on the cable channels but when I switch to apps like Netflix I cannot get the sound to go through my receiver the cable sounds keeps flowing though. I m from Chennai. I currently have the optical audio line going into OPT2 but if I select OPT2 I hear no sound. And then connect an HDMI Cable from your surround sound receiver to your TV.

I ran the audio calibration which went without a hitch. I have a Onkyo 51 AV Receiver connected via HMDI to my GPU card. I have Onkyo HTR 670 av Receiver. If the speakers still wont play they may be damaged or defective. Ive also tried using a PS3 to output via optical changed to optical out on the PS3 with all options ticked no sound through the onkyo. AV Receiver not outputting sound from sound card.

I removed n connected n there was no sound coming but videobis ok.

Test whatever source component s you are using eg CD player DVDBlu-ray turntable etc with another working TV andor set of speakers. When I watch TV the front speakers and sub work fine. I checked locally n the guy said that the HDMI board is gone. The rear speakers I dont hear any sound. Can somebody suggest where I can get this HDMI board for the Onkyo AV receiver HTR 670 please. If they do play reconnect them to the system and continue.
