Garmin Foot Pod Not Working. Just picked up the garmin foot pod. Bring your foot pod within range 3 m of the Forerunner. This morning I go to run and I notice the light on the pod is red instead of green. The Running Dynamics Pod easily clips onto your waistband to measure the running dynamics you need to beat yesterday.
To do that shake the foot pod about a bit to wake it up. All while doing so in something not much bigger than a peanut. The RF reception is best when either walking briskly or running. Once paired with your compatible smartwatch 1 just clip it to the back and center of your waistband and start your run. Your device is compatible with the foot pod. When the battery is low a message appears on your device.
I dont know if the Nike foot pod is Ant or Bluetooth but I suspect the former.
Unlike simple pedometers this foot pod uses advanced MEMS inertial-sensor technology to analyze your movements and is responsive to stride-length changes to achieve 98 percent accuracy for speed and distance. The RD Pod OTOH you have to remember to take with you and clip on your waist every time you go running pack it with you recharge it etc. Even walked on the treadmill for a couple of minutes to wake up the pod. Move away 20 m from other sensors while the Forerunner is trying to pair with your foot pod for the first time. A small replaceable watch battery powers the foot pod for a year of training. If that is not working the most likely problem is that you have not yet paired your new foot pod with the watch.
