Dodge Ram Brake Lights Not Working. The brake switch was replaced twice. The possible reasons for brake lights not working but tail lights are. After that I diagnosed the leads into the switch. Trace the wiring on both sides from the bulbs towards the cab.

License plate lamps reverse lamps and cargo lamps all working fine. Reasons Why This Can Happen 1. The bulb has two circuits one for the brake and one for park lights so the park lights ok do not mean that the bulb is not bad in the brake circuit usually the problem is the bulbs check for power going to the brake light bulb and if you have it then replace the bulbs my advice is to buy a bulb 350 and skip all the diagnostic. When the fuse is blown it does not allow the circuit to complete. I have already tested all other lights and they work fine. Remove the screws from the bulb lens which you can access through the trunk or see your vehicle repair manual to get the exact location.
