2006 Chevy Silverado Blower Motor Not Working. The repair is to replace the blower resistor and the connector to it. I took it to a mechanic the other day and they said it was the control processor but wanted. Blower does not work on my 2006 Chevy Silverado truck. The 10 amp fuse is listed as HVAC 1.
You just remove the black plastic molding below it and then pop out of the old one and plug in the new one. I know this is probably a bad resistor module under the dash so I ordered a new one. Another common problem will be the blower motor will stick in the ON position and never shut off. My blower motor is not working. If you do the blower motor is bad. Disconnect the blower motor connector.
Do you mean the PurpleWhite wire Purple with a fine White line on it.
I changed the resister and the connecting harness that connects to it. The fuses need to be checked with the ignition switch on. You should read about 12 volts. Turn ignition switch ON with engine OFF. Average repair cost is 330 at 68550 miles. At the simplest level possible the heater works by passing hot coolant from the engine into a tiny radiator called the heater core.
