2003 Toyota Camry Radiator Fan Not Working. The cooling fan in a Toyota has a relay to regulate when power is provided to the fan. 2003 Camry with 4 cylinder motor has been running hot off and on. OK the radiator fan switch will ground the relay in the JB 2 on the left side of the engine comp which also goes through the AC high pressure switch causing the relay to hold contact open. The radiator fans have electrical motors inside of them which will wear out after some years.
80 to 120 A at 20 C 68 F If not replace the cooling fan. Reconnect the cooling fan connector. If the car is overheating because the fans are not working it will usually happen while you are moving in traffic but cool down as soon as the car. When this relay goes bad – due to coil failure or excessive resistance – the fan cannot receive its prescribed amount of electricity and will either work slowly or not at all. Ac has a fan too in the same housing as radiator fan. You can test the electrical radiator fans by taking a wire from the car battery unplug the radiator fan connector and put 12v and ground into the connector.
Check that the cooling fan rotates smoothly and check the reading on the ammeter.
On my 2003 Toyota Camry 24L L4 I just replaced the passenger side ac condenser fan. If the radiator fan is not working its a serious problem. My Toyota camry altise 2003 automatic transmission car recently had a bad leak with the radiator and replaced it wth a brand new oneNow it drives pretty smooth but I noticed that the radiator fans are not turning on as the temperature gauge reach the halfway throughBut when i switch on the AC fans seem to be working finewhat causes this problem. It was working fine before. Ac has a fan too in the same housing as radiator fan. 2003 camry 1 of my cooling fans isnt working fuses r good.
